Disaster relief for Gulf Coast dialysis patients

Last weekend, Hurricane Harvey devastated entire communities on the Gulf Coast. Thousands of lives are still at risk due to widespread flooding as rivers and other bodies of water continue to rise. Many of the victims of Hurricane Harvey are kidney patients who cannot survive without dialysis treatment. In the Gulf Coast disaster region, there are more than 12,000 dialysis patients.

AKF has activated our Disaster Relief Program to provide emergency financial assistance to these patients. The program provides assistance to help patients replace medications, food and household items, and pay for other lost necessities when natural disaster strikes a community.
