We’re excited to announce that the young artist who received the greatest number of votes in our online contest to select the cover of our 2016 calendar is Kaylee Clabough, 8, from Hartselle, Alabama. Kaylee’s winning drawing, "The Life Saver," received more than 500 votes. You can see all the finalists' artwork on our website. As the cover winner, Kaylee will receive a trip to Washington, D.C., to be recognized at our annual national gala, The Hope Affair, on Sept. 30, 2015.
A dozen members of our Advocacy Network joined us in the nation’s capital last month to meet with their elected representatives to advocate for the Chronic Kidney Disease Improvement in Research and Treatment Act of 2015. Their visit took place in conjunction with our annual Kidney Action Day on the Hill where we provided free kidney health screenings, fitness activities and kidney health education.
