September 2014 AKF eNews

Thanks to your support, we’ll help more than 100,000 people this year. Many of them are dialysis patients in all 50 states who rely on our financial assistance to pay for vital treatment-related expenses, like health insurance premiums, transportation to dialysis, and medications. Many others are people at high risk for kidney disease who benefit from our health education and screening program. When you support the American Kidney Fund, 97 cents of every dollar goes toward our programs and services – this makes AKF one of the most efficient charities in the country. As one grant recipient recently wrote to us, “The help couldn’t have come at a greater time of need.” On behalf of everyone we’ll help this year, thank you.
