The American Kidney Fund salutes all those who provide loving care to dialysis patients. Do you know someone who goes “above and beyond” to provide care and support to a dialysis patient? Nominate him or her for our Caregiver of the Year award. The person who is selected as the 2014 Caregiver of the Year will be honored at The Hope Affair, AKF’s national gala, on October 22, 2014 in Washington, D.C. The deadline for nominations is July 29.

The Chronic Kidney Disease Improvement in Research and Treatment Act of 2014 (H.R. 4814) is bi-partisan legislation that focuses on kidney disease research, access to treatment and fiscal challenges facing the Medicare program that funds treatment for more than 80 percent of U.S. dialysis patients. The 9th Annual New York Golf Classic brings together long-time supporters of the American Kidney Fund and new friends who believe in AKF’s mission for a fun day of golf and fundraising.
